The Opportunity:
With beginnings in the removals industry Visy Boxes & More (VBAM) has learnt the value of right packaging for the right product. Our range of products has been developed to provide boxes and protective packaging for just about any item, whether big or small, bulky or fragile.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Branch Manager is an integral member of the Visy Boxes & More team with responsibility for optimizing the warehouse operations, site management, health and safety and logistics activities with an effort to control costs while also improving efficiency and accuracy in the management of inventory.
In this hands on role, you will play an integral part in supporting the implementation of a new warehouse management system. Previous experience in such project coupled with solid SAP system experience will set you up for success.
Further to that your responsibilities will evolve around but not limited to:
- Management of HSE Compliance and continuous improvement in risk reduction and injuries as well as environmental impact reduction.
- Management & co-ordination of the whole operational process
- Leading and managing a small team including permanent and temporary staff members.
- Establishing and building strong customer relationships
- Sales estimations and meeting set KPI’s
Skills and Qualifications you will bring:
- Business management and warehouse/logistics experience
- Highly self-motivated and as a natural leader you are autonomous and will drive the business to meet agreed targets
- You can build strong relationships external and internal as this will be crucial to the success of this role
- SAP experience is desirable
