The Role
Responsible for ‘first level’ supervision of team, attendance / time-keeping etc. Employee discipline escalated to Cell Leader- To ensure the cost effective and on-time delivery of components and products from the Cell to the Customer.
- To continue to develop a team culture which is customer focused with a primary emphasis upon improved flexibility of operations (indirect as well as direct).
- To develop and execute the application of the continuous improvement process.
- To manage and administer staff with particular emphasis upon (a) the correct composition and headcount within the team, (b) the motivation and morale of employees.
- To liaise with development teams to facilitate the smooth introduction of products and associated processes to the cell in order to meet timescale, quality and cost targets.
- Achieve agreed due date, quality, productivity, Health & Safety, housekeeping, cost reduction targets.
- Any other legislation relevant to the site as detailed in the Company`s Health & Safety Policy and Procedures manual.
- To ensure that the Company/Site policies in particular holidays, sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance are implemented consistently and fairly.

What we expect of you?
Able to manage operators within the team- Ability to train others
- Understand Products Structure and System products
- Knowledge of pumps or rotors, engines, system products assembly
- Knowledge of painting and cleaning
- Read and interpret engineering drawings or documentations
- Understand dimension tolerance and geometric tolerance
- Understand both mechanical test and performance test
- With technician certificate is preferred.
- With technician certificate is preferred.
- Experience in 5S, lean activities in workshop is preferred.
- Broad understanding/appreciation of key operational areas (eg quality, production engineering).
- Able to understand and interpret business (i.e. customer) needs and communicate these effectively to the operators.
- Clear understanding and application of modern manufacturing techniques, specifically: Material Requirements Planning (MRP); computerised applications.
